Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
